Michaela Meade has been a reporter with the Geelong Advertiser since February, 2022.

She primarily covers the education round, as well as Golden Plains Shire council, general and breaking news.

As part of her responsibilities, Michaela manages social media posts across Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, and LinkedIn.

She has taken part in professional development, including as part of the Melbourne Business School's Digital News Academy and attending the Women In Media national conference in 2022 and 2023.

She was named Runner Up for the Women in Media Caroline Jones Young Journalist of the Year Award 2023.
